Cheryl J. Moody, P.E. FAA UAS Remote Pilot
Cheryl created Atlantic Shores Aerial Images, LLC in January, 2021 to fill a need identified in her environmental consulting company, Atlantic Shores Environmental Services, Ltd. Cheryl has over 30 years of environmental consulting experience and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of Vermont and a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of New Haven. Ms. Moody is a North Carolina licensed Professional Engineer and an FAA Part 107 unmanned aircraft pilot since July, 2020. Ms. Moody began her career in Honolulu Hawaii in 1990 and worked in New England prior to locating to southeastern North Carolina in 1998.
Cheryl has been taking photographs since developing her own black and white film in high school in the mid 1980’s. She flew recreationally prior to obtaining an FAA unmanned aircraft system (UAS) pilots license which enable flights for commercial purposes. Cheryl also holds a North Carolina Department of Transportation UAS commercial Operator Permit.
When Cheryl is not working, she enjoys paddle boarding, traveling and spending time with her husband and four boys.
